Early References

I will upload this section shortly

Rodmill Farm

Likely built as a "modern" replacement for Pococks Farm. Largely 18th Century with 19th Century additions. Demolished in 1966.

Pococks's Farm

This building was originally a manor house with 14th Century origins as well as a Tudor makeover. Demolished in 1965. More to follow.

Rodmill Today

Rodmill Farm had been vast, stretching from Hampden Park almost to Lottbridge Drove and across to Tutts Barn Lane. Bit by bit the Chatsworth Settlement sold off fields for development until by 1961, the farm was no longer viable. The remaining land became Rodmill Farm Estate, built by Sunley Homes Ltd. The original planning permission promised open modern homes with open spaces, a park, church, 9 new shops and a pub!
